TACHOU’s heritage dates back to 1919, when TACHOU first began its shipbuilding journey. In the 1960s, the company entered a new era by building wooden sailboats for the U.S. Taiwan Defense Command (USTDC). TACHOU was officially established in 1972, carrying forward generations of shipbuilding expertise and craftsmanship. In 2003, the business entered a new phase of succession, with TACHOU , TACHOU, and TACHOUCHOU continuing to build upon their accumulated expertise. The company expanded into yacht leisure services in 2016 and began constructing yacht-style recreational fishing boats in 2017, further extending its capabilities across shipbuilding and marine leisure. In 2023, TACHOU became an authorized representative of Japan’s Yanmar fishing yachts, bringing together more than a century of shipbuilding heritage and international brand resources to chart a new course for the yacht and marine leisure industry.
